Montbazon 2014

The anniversary of the UK taking part as a team in full contact medieval combat is marked at the Tournee du Faucon Noir each year in Montbazon, just south of Tours, France. Members of Battle Heritage first appeared in there in October 2012 and on their debut took silver behind the reigning world champions, Bern club from Russia.

Once again, Battle Heritage came home with medals and silverware, this time taking out 3rd place in the 5v5 class against strong competition by teams from Russia, France, Germany and Spain. Russia once again took first and a strong finish from one of the French teams saw them take out the silver.

Lukas Kowal once again maintained his place as one of the top singles fighters in the world, with a silver in the sword and shield class, beating all comers including 4 of the 5 very strong Russian fighters.

He also came home with the ladies choice award as Sexiest Fighter at the tournament. We are still not sure which he is more pleased with!
